The scene has been shifted from St. Stephen's College in Delhi (the capital of India) to an imaginary school in America. When I was a student at St. Stephen's College, it was NOT a co-educational college, but ALL students and faculty and staff (there was only ONE staff in the office - Mr. Roberts - who did all office work!) were MALE - all were very courteous and very FRIENDLY with Me. Also, I did not get "kicked out" by St. Stephen's College but I VOLUNTARY transferred to Cotton College in Gauhati/Guwahati (the capital of Assam) which then had a strong physics department. I will give further details of My student days in St. Stephen's College and in the top U.S. universities UIUC and UIC if time permits and if I am in the mood to give these details. (I NEVER SPOKE with any of My girl classmates at Delhi University etc. - this comes naturally with Me - My inborn trait, quality, characteristic.)
I was declared short of attendance in Mathematics by St. Stephen's College just before Part 1 exam of Delhi University. I was in My 2nd year of B.Sc. Physics Honours, with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry as subsidiary subjects. (I cannot recall if English was over in First year; I cleared Hindi in First year D.U. exam - though I scored highest marks in Hindi in school up to class 9, I did not have Hindi in class 10, so I had to attend - and I enjoyed - extra Hindi classes at St. Stephen's College taught us by an excellent Hindi-speaking professor who had a doctorate) - when I was a student of St. Stephen's College, we had our Physics HONOURS classes at Delhi University with coed Hindu College students (with 3 or 4 girl students, about 20 boy students; My college classmates - all boys - numbered about 20 too) and our CHEMISTRY subsidiary classes ALSO at Delhi University with students (including 3 or 4 girls; the rest boys) of some OTHER college on Delhi University campus (perhaps Hansraj College or Kirori Mal College, perhaps not Ramjas College) - MATHEMATICS subsidiary classes were held in our own college, taught by excellent friendly mathematics faculty of St. Stephen's College. If I remember right, I checked with our college professor of mathematics, a soft-spoken British teacher, when I was declared short of attendance in Mathematics, and he checked My attendance and said it was OK. (It was only towards the END of the 2nd year that I missed some math classes; it was NOT as if I did not attend all college maths classes.)
Then I went and checked with Delhi University Physics and Chemistry professors to see if My attendance was OK. It was OK. My dear friend Upinder Singh Arora, a student of Hindu College, who also attended Physics honours classes with us at Delhi University, informed Me that in Hindu College any student who was short of attendance could pay a fine and would be allowed to sit for exam. Something was fishy but I did not tell anyone. It is true that My college math classmates kept reminding Me that I was missing college classes in mathematics but I thought I could pass B.Sc. Part 1 Mathematics SUBSIDIARY exam without much effort. Actually, the MAIN REASON why I was missing classes was that PRINCIPAL S. C. Sircar, an EXCELLENT elocutionist who read aloud moving passages from the Bible NT eloquently every morning in the college auditorium during assembly and attendance, told us one day in our First year when he taught us college algebra for some days, that he LAMENTED the fact that VERY FEW STUDENTS visited our COLLEGE LIBRARY and that students FOCUSED ENTIRELY on their SYLLABUS. That inspired Me to visit and explore not only St. Stephen's College library but also the nearby Delhi University Library with a rich stock of books that were very easy to ACCESS and BROWSE through and I kept on going to that library, NEGLECTING My SYLLABUS studies in My college hostel room! (The MOST INSPIRING book in the Delhi University library I read during those days was the book HOW TO GET MORE OUT OF YOUR READING by Norman Lewis.) I was asked to MEET Principal S. C. Sircar in his college chamber and he told Me in presence of Bursar etc. that I was a "silly ass" to miss My classes and I also agreed that I was a "silly ass" and I made a great show of sorrow at the thought of My poor parents whose HARD-EARNED money had gone down the drain. When he sent a letter to My "dad", informing him that I was short of attendance in Mathematics and therefore I would NOT be allowed to sit for the Delhi University B.Sc. Hons. Part 1 exam, My worried "mom" made an urgent PHONE CALL to him at night at his college residence to ask him about how I was doing and a college peon (or chowkidar) came to My college hostel room (it was about 10 p.m.) to take Me to the college residence of PRINCIPAL S. C. Sircar who told Me about My "mom's" PHONE call and he ALSO told Me that when I took readmission to the 2nd year, I would NOT get a a hostel seat for the first two or three months (as punishment). I listened quietly but decided at once that I would NOT come back but would transfer to Cotton College in My home town Guwahati, which had an excellent physics faculty at that time - I had noticed that St. Stephen's College at that time only held pass course classes in Physics and Chemistry - St. Stephen's College was just a show-off college producing many (corrupt) IAS officers every year, and its students got phony Oxford "Rhodes scholarships", and were full of stupid idiotic ego. Unlike THE CATCHER IN THE RYE story, I did NOT tell anyone about My secret plan to leave St. Stephen's College permanently. When I came home and told My "dad" about My wish to continue My studies at local Cotton College, he agreed. I remember that when I crossed kindly Principal S.C. Sircar in the college courtyard, he said, looking at My very sad face: "Kishalay, keep smiling!" "Thank you, sir!" I said, I think. Actually, I NEVER told anyone including My "parents" and "bro" and "sis" that I would have flunked all B.Sc. Part 1 exams if I sat for Part 1 - Principal S.C. Sircar had saved My honour / honor by NOT allowing Me to take Part 1 exam! However, I strongly suspect that the ACTUAL reason for BANNING Me from taking the exam was different - Nazis in Delhi were getting very scared of Me** and so they forced poor Principal S.C. Sircar to remove Me, as later chain of events prove. When I met kindly Mr. Roberts about payment of fine (if I remember correctly) for shortage of attendance, he made a short one-sentence cryptic remark about "wire pulling"! (Like puppets being pulled by a puppeteer!) I also recall that a FORMER C.C. FEMALE college classmate sent Me a "good wishes for exam" letter soon AFTER I was banned from taking the exam - she didn't have the time to write to Me before but remembered to send Me "good wishes for exam" after I was DENIED permission to take the Part 1 EXAM (on flimsy grounds)! VERY FISHY. Secret coordination of SCARED Nazis who wanted to find out via a C.C. female My STATE of mind. Of course, COOL AS ALWAYS, I sent A VERY CALM REPLY, without mentioning the EXAM BAN at all !!!
I also wish to point out that, unlike the "hero" Holden in THE CATCHER IN THE RYE, I never had a "GF", and never had pre-m. s., and I have not "visited" a single pr. (PLEASE NOTE that this is just a statement of fact, without any implication of moral or intellectual superiority on My part. I never feel I have to follow the herd.)
I stayed in single-occupant rooms in hostels of St. Stephen's College, Dinrugarh University, and UIUC.

I was NEVER "KICKED OUT" by ANY school OR college OR university OR institution in India or America but I was always held in high respect by everybody wherever I studied and taught and worked. I have ALWAYS been 100% true and genuine. After My first semester or Spring semester (beginning from the cold month of January) at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign UIUC as a Ph.D. student on a university scholarship from UIUC department of physiology and biophysics, I was ALSO given a university scholarship by UIUC for the summer term too (a rare thing) on the recommendation of My research guide Professor Dr. Howard S. Ducoff - but I had made up My mind not to waste My time doing phony research on aging (or death) - I realized that I had solved everything in a flash in Bombay 11 years before - and despite the kind office staff at UIUC and kind Ph.D. students urging Me to continue to do research at UIUC (if I completed a Ph.D., I could become a University Professor or a Director of research when I returned to India, they told Me; though I respectfully listened to their kind advice, I could not be false to Myself and waste valuable time doing useless "research" when I had in fact SOLVED EVERYTHING 11 years before), I voluntarily left kind UIUC with the polite excuse that "life was too difficult" for Me (partly true; eating food was a big problem for Me at UIUC; but I did not tell anyone My main reason).
In connection with failing/flunking exams: in UIC 1st semester M.S. math exam first paper (on Laplace Transforms), I scored full marks (100%). In the second paper exam (on Partial Differential Equations), I would have got 100% too - but for some inexplicable reason (perhaps My unconscious or subconscious desire to stop competing with the other students most of whom were younger than Me, particularly the 5 or 6 gals in the class), I thought My answer to the FIRST question might be WRONG and I CROSSED IT OUT (though I found My answer to be CORRECT when I checked it after returning to My uncle's rented town house in Oak Park), and answered FOUR other questions but did not have sufficient time to complete solution of a FIFTH question - we had to answer 5 questions (each carrying 20 marks) - so in effect I answered 4 out of 5 questions - after the exam I informed our math professor that I had crossed out My first answer but he was silent - and when the professor handed back our answer scripts, I saw that I got 79 [4×20 = 80 minus 1 for writing + (or -) by mistake instead of - (or +)]. Although I felt a bit sad, I realized that it was a fair evaluation. Then I realized, once again, as I had done earlier when I was a Ph.D. student at UIUC, that I had CRACKED all the big Nazi secrets 12 years before in Bombay and I was wasting My time in the U.S. I decided I should leave the U.S. as early as possible and return to India. But I continued to attend 1st semester math classes at UIC without much interest. On the last day I attended class (not the last day of the 1st semester), I had made up My mind to leave the U.S. and go back to India and went to the math class WITHOUT A PEN - a clear reflection of My PLAN to stop attending classes and leave the U.S. - I asked a gal classmate near My seat: "Could you please lend Me a pen?"* - she did, with a faint smile - I returned the pen to her with thanks after class. *(The only words I spoke to her during the entire first semester; spoken out of necessity; I had entered class a bit late that day and My usual seat in the RIGHT first row of seats with MALE students near Me were ALL occupied by girls with only one seat left on which I was obliged to sit; I was told by some male classmate that her name was Marian or Maria or a similar name; it didn't matter, anyway; that was the LAST class I attended at UIC, as I had planned.) I did not yet tell My cousin brother, a UIC B.S. freshman/1st year student, nor any of the OTHER members of My uncle's family living in Oak Park, about My DESIRE to LEAVE the U.S. and go back to India. (If any Indian student wants to study/do research on mathematics, he/she can do so in India.) The third math paper in My 1st semester exam was on LINEAR ALGEBRA - it would have been EASY for Me to score 100% but I did not revise at all (according to My plan) and I scored very poor marks (naturally). I did not appear for the 4th math paper (FOURIER TRANSFORMS, which I liked, and was also taught by an excellent UIC professor who gave us full notes, identical with the material on the pages of an American book I had photocopied.) Result: D or F. My "mom" SENT Me A FIRST CLASS PLANE TICKET to India! (I had gone to the US from India with a low cost student class plane ticket but I was returning to India by a FIRST CLASS PLANE TICKET! I think My "mom" took a loan from a friendly relative. Ingenuous bright Gopal, "hero" of THE INSCRUTABLE AMERICANS by Anurag Mathur (RUPA), returning to India by plane after a year of study at an American university, traveling first class seated near a sari-clad Indian lady, and having sex with her in the plane's bathroom! - this crazy story has absolutely no connection with My travel - I was returning to India safe and sound, unsnared by American or Indian honeytraps!) At My request, a very friendly "black" male office staff member of UIC Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science cheerfully typed a UIC Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science certificate confirming that I had been an M.S. mathematics student of UIC and gave it to Me. (Like students and faculty of UIUC and UIC, the staff of the offices & libraries of UIUC and UIC whom I met were very kind. - G)

As I look back, I realize that Nazis felt very scared of Me by the things I have just mentioned, although at that time I was innocent as a babe. I have watched a few Unresolved Textual Tension (which One can remember by using the mnemonic Unresolved Sexual Tension) videos on YouTube patiently* just out of curiosity BUT I find that the pair's book discussions are very vague and unclear - a brief summary of the books they discuss would aid comprehension of those who have NOT read the books - and the pair ONLY seem to discuss books and authors they don't like. One of the male and female hypercritical pair of incomprehensible "reviewers" - Maria? Marian? Mary? - seems to be a non-native speaker of English. The two ramble on and on and on.
Skilled writers and speakers always consider the backgrounds of their potential readers and listeners. An example of unclear and unfocused literary discussion or book review (which makes you wonder if they have read the book/books at all):

that I wished to discuss with him, and he QUICKLY came over to his UIUC department office in his old car, and when I met him, I told him that since ALL animals and plants EVENTUALLY DIE, there MUST be a "death gene" (inserted) in all plants and animals, BUT he explained with words and diagrams he drew on the blackboard with colored chalk that "death gene" could NOT exist - but I did not understand a word of what he said. My strong assertion about the presence of a death gene must have caused him secret panic. It is interesting that I was WATCHED at UIUC by Dr. Ducoff; I was watched constantly at Oak Park town house by My cousin "brother" and other family members and by three UIC freshmen who were paying guests; and when I attended classes at UIC, My cousin "brother" also joined UIC as a B.S. I found all "white" and "black" male friends in America very friendly and open. Indian "brown" friends are OK but all seem followers of Chanakya.
When I joined UIUC Department of Physiology and Biophysics as Ph.D. student on a university scholarship from UIUC (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a top-ranking U.S. university), My research guide Dr. H. S. Ducoff (Howard S. Ducoff) told Me to take a mandatory oral test on biology; a very warm and friendly male white American Ph.D. research student at UIUC who was in his 2nd year of Ph.D. in the same department, took the biology test, and I still remember with great joy that when I correctly answered all ten questions he asked, he was so moved that he exclaimed: "WHAT A MIND!" My feeling is that all books have value; each published book is unique like each v. is unique. Even po. books have value in the sense that One learns how to make One's writing spicy and interesting. Since I am never contacted or paid by any authors or publishers to advertise their books, I have no idea if books I read aloud for My podcasts sell. It makes no difference to Me. I have about 3000-4000 books, most of them in paperback, bought month after month over years, by strict budgeting of limited fixed monthly "financial resources" (honest hard-earned monthly income), thanks to the very simple honest Spartan life I lead - I never smoke, I never drink, I never take drugs, I never gamble, I never run after "sexy" girls (all gals are "sexy" due to same v.), I never "visit" prostitutes. It seems that some Nazi goons are disturbing the operation of My iTel MAGIC X PRO 4G - in the morning, My Airtel sim kept in it showed 50% net usage, then 90% net usage very soon thereafter, though I had hardly used net at all. When I put My BSNL sims, I kept getting very irritating net usage messages without My using net at all (the very irritating disturbance has just stopped). If you buy and use iTel MAGIC X PRO 4G and you also get very irritating disturbances, inform authorities or post on powerful social media. - G

It seems that BSNL 4G offers pre-paid schemes like: Rs. 147 for 30 days (10 GB "net", Rs. 10 talk time), Rs. 229 per month (2GB/day, and "unlimited" voice call), Rs. 99 for 365 days (300 minutes or 5 hours of phone call in one year, 30 sms per month, 3 GB), etc. It seems we cannot use more than one scheme at the same time, like paying Rs. 147 for one month and also Rs. 99 for ONE YEAR for the same BSNL sim. (I hardly ever phone anyone, unlike Na. sp. who phones her Na. NEAR AND DEAR ONES all day.)

When I went into a local bookstore some years ago and bought a copy of "EVERYONE HAS A STORY" by Savi Sharma, I remember that the title "EVERYONE HAS A STORY" at once reminded Me of the inspiring words "EVERYONE HAS A BOOK IN HIM" in the wonderful book WORD POWER MADE EASY by "Norman Lewis" (which seems to Me to be a MALE pen name a la "George Eliot", used by a top female educator and top writer of fiction and non-fiction who has got reborn or reincarnated in many different forms with many names over billions of years) and I assumed that the novel was ghost-written by "Norman Lewis". Later, I also bought copies of THIS IS NOT YOUR STORY and EVERYONE HAS A STORY - 2, by Ms. "Savi Sharma". (Her elementary, unsophisticated spoken English does not match the HIGH standard of English prose in these 3 novels by "Savi Sharma". I regularly shed Crocodile tears. - G)
I am glad that a Hindi translation of one of these 3 romantic novels by "Savi Sharma" has been published. Hindi-speaking Indian readers who are weak in English will find it very EASY to understand and enjoy the original novel in English after they read the Hindi translation, and this will also improve their English very fast painlessly, without any effort.
