There are passages in SAND AND FOAM by Kahlil Gibran (obviously a pen name) suggesting that it is a symbolic story of crucified Jesus Christ of Nazareth vs Jesus Christ of Christians (betrayer Judas?); reminds Me of the interesting retelling of crucifixion story by Philip Pullman: THE GOOD MAN JESUS AND THE SCOUNDREL CHRIST.

I don't have a copy of THE PROPHET by Kahlil Gibran to CHECK the text with audiobooks and quotes by "Kahlil Gibran" on YouTube. - G
